Manny totally got screwed. I think Vegas is blaming him for the Mayweather fight going down the tubes. What a bs decision.

I almost turned off the fight after the 10th round because Pacqiao was so dominant throughout the fight. This fight demonstrates why professional boxing is losing its fan base. Professional boxing is so corrupt--what a shame. Yet, the powers that be refuse to clean it up.

I don't even know what to say. I've seen some head scratchers in my day but that one...I still have it on PPV, waiting for Michael Buffer to come back and say "syke!". It looked like Bradley and his team were a little uneasy about the decision as well. How much trouble can Bradley get into for receiving stolen property?

Having spent a lot of time in The Philippines, I am a huge Pacquiao fan. I had a big party for the fight and was in agreement with HBO when they had scored it 11-1 in Pacquiao's favor. I am just sick right now! I can't even sleep.

They did however have a great tribute to Johnny "Mi Vida Loca" Tapia before the fight.

My theory is that Bob Arum threw the fight to get a rematch instead of facing Mayweather. Also his contract with Pacquiao is almost up and this gives him leverage. I think Arum if definitely dirty enough to do it too.

"Can you believe that?" promoter Bob Arum said. "I had it 10-2! After I got into the ring after the fight, I went over to Bradley and said 'You did very well.' He said, 'I tried hard, but I couldn't beat the guy.' This is crazy. You talk about killing boxing? All three scorecards you throw out."

"This is a death knell for boxing, and I'm going to make a ton of money on the rematch," Arum said.

    There is your answer.

    My thoughts exactly.

I was watching a link on my laptop. I ended up falling asleep from rounds 5-10, but it seemed like I didn't miss much with the way the HBO team was talking about the scoring. I figured I must have misheard after the decision was announced.

Looks like this is the same reaction all over the web.

I think this ties up Pacquiao with Arum for at least a rematch, and maybe an eventual trilogy. All to keep him from a Mayweather fight. I think this is his way of sticking it to the Mayweather camp.

It seems pretty obvious that the super fight will never happen now, all because of greed. It's a shame, I was really hoping several years ago that Pac would shut up May down the line.

Ringside punching statistics showed Pacquiao landing 253 punches to 159 for Bradley, who vowed before the fight to take the 147-pound title from Pacquiao. The Compubox statistics showed Pacquiao landing more punches in 10 of the 12 rounds.
    Almost 100 more punches.

When they announced the first score 115-113 in favor of Pacquaio, me and my friend looked at each other wondering why that score was so close. Then we heard the second one 115-113 Bradley and we both said right away that the fight was fixed.

That's why I refuse to PPV - why give more money to a sport that is totally fixed. I love to watch boxing, but these greed mongers have ruined the sport. PACman and Money won't fight unless the arums of the world make MO Money. I feel for the boxers and the fans who have to pay the ultimate price. Makes me sick to hear decisions like this and they happen all the time in boxing - the only way to guarantee a win is by knockout and I am sure they are trying to find a way to change that to a decision too!

People have given up on boxing generation after generation and yet the sport continues to survive and is some cases thrive. Sure it may not be on main stream television anymore and children may not be running the streets pretending to be Joe Louis, but how many fighters in boxing's heyday earned over their lifetime what some of these fighters earn over the course of a year?

Every time we see a decision like this (and boy was it bad) the party line tends to be, "boxing is so corrupt", "boxing is dead", "I will never watch another fight again", "another black eye for boxing", etc... That may be true to a certain extent and people may really be offended, but you know what? Most (not all) will be right back in front of the television when, as they say, the next "fight to save boxing" comes along, which happens to be every couple of years or so. (It always cracks me up to hear the media use that line, year, after year, after year...)

There is always a mega-fight or that special fighter that draws people in and there is always that special gem on ESPN2 or Showtime or at the local casino that reminds people why boxing can on occasion be better than anything else out there (think Diego Corrales - Jose Castillo, Israel Vazquez v Rafael Marquez, Gatti v Ward, Ayala v Tapia, etc...)

Is boxing perfect, hell no. It is too subjective to be perfect. Is Bob Arum the spawn of satan? Quite possibly. Do the judge always get it right? Hell no. Are they always corrupt? Sometimes, yes, but not always. Sometimes they are just incompetent. However, boxing is no worse and no better than any other sport out there. College players get paid to go to attend certain schools, refs in the NBA fix games, bounties are taken out on players in the NFL, the Hornets are going to get A Davis, Roger Maris and Hank Aaron's records are lost because of PEDs, and the list goes on....

The people involved in boxing are subject to the same evils that the people in every other sport are. The main difference is that unless there is a knockout, we have to rely on humans rather than a score board to distinguish between a winner and the loser. Sometimes we get stuck with the type junk we witnessed last night...and it sucks. But you know what, being a fan of boxing is a whole lot like being a fan of Lobo basketball. You have to be tough. You are not always going to come away satisfied but there is always a moment or a game or stretch that will remind you of why you keep coming back.

Well Pacquiao paid for not taking the guy out, he was dominant enough to take this out of the judges hands and he didn't, any time it goes to the scorecards, there is a a possibility of a surprise. The other puzzling thing is that Pacquiao seemed pretty comfortable with the outcome, doesnt add up.

That's because he's a humble guy. He's not going to make a scene out in front of everyone because he lost. Now when he got behind closed doors, it's no telling what he said. But he's not going to act like that in front of the cameras.

As dominant as Pacquiao was, he took the first two minutes of every round off and a couple rounds off all together. Bradley looked completely overmatched nonetheless. A really weird fight. I am a huge fight fan and this is the third decision i've seen in a year that really left me scratching my head. The others were Peterson-Kahn and Lara-Williams.

It did seem like Manny was taking off the first 2 minutes but Bradley and I'm a Bradley fan, did nothing in those 2 minutes to win that round. I tried very my best to give Bradley every round I could after being accused of being a Pacqauio homer after that third fight with Marquez, which I've watched 5 times over and I still give it to Pacqauio (Nacho Beristain screwed Marquez over). I was still only able to give Bradley 4 rounds. I'll probably try to watch again later in the week to see if I missed something.

How about that Randall Bailey knock out though?! That was awesome!

Bob Arum has no piece of Mayweather so why would he want PacMan to fight Mayweather when he could have a fight of the century rematch with Bradley. Arum is under contract to both. That means a rematch would bring a huge pay day when I fight with Mayweather would not bring as much for his pocket. Yes boxing is corrupt and any sport that uses judges is corrupt.
