If this has any teeth it will start another wave of shuffling. The BE is so unstable IF this if fact is happening that one has to wonder whether that conference will stay intact.
Incoming Big East members include Central Florida, San Diego State, SMU, Houston and Navy. dosn't even mention boise state.
Even though football us not involved, this could be enough to convince the ACC that they have no shot of landing Notre Dame in football. If so, they would scoop up UConn and Rutgers in a heartbeat and the BE would be officially dead.
Ok, ok, ok.
Who wants to bet me BSU stays in the MWC when the dust settles?![]()
#UNMerciful
Does Vegas have odds on that? I actually think Boise ends up staying in the MWC and their fans have a barf fest. Their fans are so full of themselves I guess there will be a large number of suicide alerts.

So when Boise decides to stay and the big east implodes, will SDSU have to pay MWC to get back in? Lolz when that happens.
Chip Brown is usually spot on. Good news!
If BSU stays can we send an invite to Long Beach State and not take back STDSU? IJS!![]()

What would be even better is if they would have to pay MWC exit and entrance fees, Big West exit and entrance fees as well as Big East entrance and exit fees lol. However I think they have outs of the Big East contract if they don't have a western partner or something like that.
Notre Dame says Big 12 rumor is not true....

Yes. The Big-12 rumor is not true. Not right now. But I'll bet that Notre Dame football joins a conference within 24 months, and their Olympic sports will follow them to that conference.
My money says that whether or not it is ND, the big 12 expands soon! They want a championship game, and ND wants to be tied to a major conference to share in better bowls. They aren't playing for the national title anytime soon, so who wants to see them play the ACC in a bowl game.

I think the best fit for Notre Dame is the B1G and that is where they end up.
The Big 10 has been discussed for years, Chuck Nienas made it more lucrative for ND with his allowance for schools to retain some media rights, stay indy in footaball is the icing, and of course better access to better bowls and conference mates.
Religion and geography dont have a big impact on the decision making in this case, money does. This is where ND makes the most money.
More smoke means there is probably a fire....
So what does all this mean for the Notre Dame faithful? Well.....it is very simple really, affiliate your football program to play-off conference or get left behind.
