What is true size of new freshmen?

Devon is almost the same exact height as Tony.
Nick is also almost identical to AJ. Maybe a hair smaller.

Now in between AAU sessions my son has shrunk back to his 5'6" height after peaking at 5'9" during season.

Alot of times the difference is because of how they measure the kids. Sometimes they count with there game day shoes which could add up to 2 inches. Other times they make it barefoot so it's there actual height and sometimes with regular shoes. I do wish they would all use the same style and format when measuring it would make everything so much easier.

I'm 5'11 1/2" when measured without shoes. When I put my 1 1/2" shoes on I will measure 6'1", but I'LL still only be 5'11 1/2". If I climb on the right step of a step ladder I'll measure 7'11 1/2", but I'LL still only be 5'11 1/2".

Do they let you play basketball wearing shoes with 5" soles? If they do, then those guys win the height battle. Since they don't, just measure the guy as he comes out of the shower and don't include the huge hair-do some guys wear.

Now, how tall are our freshmen?

Well, one more time, they do not play in stocking feet, do they? I understand in order to get true comparisons though, stocking feet would be preferred, if everyone did it. Guess this thread has run it's course.

I got to get my two cents on this one. I remember the fuss that was generated when some Lobo BB fan came out and said " Freshman Kenny Thomas is closer to 6-6 than 6-9". It turned out that guy was right on the money. KT measured out at 6-6 1/2 at the NBA combine.

I told you guys Drew Gordon was 6-8. The NBA combine proved me right again. 6-5 Ruben Douglas measured out to 6-2. AJ Hardeman is about 6-7, which means Nick Banyard is closer to 6-6 than
6-9. Too bad, he does not go 265 like the 6-6 Kenny Thomas did. I always thought KT would be the second coming of "The Round Mound of Rebound".

going of my eyeball test, Snell is right near 6-8. Alex Kirk is a legit 6-11, the NBA combine will tell the true story.

Tony is not 6' 8. Banyard is taller (eye test) than Tony. Nick is at least 6' 7". Most likley 6'8" in shoes.
