lol, I enjoy most of damianshorns articles and this topic is very relevant to the future of our conference. If they go, I really hope they regret it in a few years or less.

I believe that if Boizee goes to the BE and puts their Oly sports in the WAC that the MWC will invite NMSU shortly after that and quite possibly Idaho to put the screws to BSU. And the fact that Boizee is taking it to the very end to declare what they will be doing tells me that they are going to go BE and try and find a solution for all the other sports. What a mess.

Reason I beilieve this is that if BSU goes BE and SDS has already declared they are going BE no matter what then the MWC takes off the gloves and will screw BSU any way they can.

I think Paul Krebs made it pretty clear that the MWC presidents had absolutely no interest in NMSU or Idaho. but would they have interest if it meant having BSU and SDSU back? interesting point.

I say F! BSU and the broken down '87 Bronco they rode in on. These money grabbin' idiots wanted out of the MWC before they even played their FIRST game in the league. Hair Ball really has no leverage -- they'll do whatever they want. So who cares???? They can rot in HELL!

This won't ever happen. NMSU would cost the MWC money so no way in hell will they ever be invited.

It won't cost a dime if it forces Boise State back. Boise State equals big time money from ESPN. Plus adding 2 schools now will get the league to 12 and allow a football championship game. Even more money up front.

You do not weaken your conference by adding NMSU and Idaho just to get even with or keep Boise State.

Its a game of survival. No Boise St, means a much weaker TV deal. Like "The Blue" or not, it brings $$$ from ESPN and ABC. I hate the idea of adding Idaho, because they are pretty much horrific across the board, at least NMSU is good in BBall, Baseball, Volleyball and Rodeo (haha). I would like to see the MWC be proactive and force the hand of BSU (SDSU is a byproduct of BSU).

We're gonna get low balled by everybody. Outside of Boise State who is remotely attractive in the money hungry world of college football? Is this league going to hang its hat on Air Force? Wyoming? Hawai'i? Fresno State? We are a weak football league, competitive but very very weak. Without Boise State we will be known as the MAC West Conference.
