Maybe so, but I don't see how the MWC not getting AQ status has much to do with it. By the time Boise St. gets to the Big East, the Big East will be in their final year of AQ status, and after that will be relegated to the same status as the MWC, maybe slightly better status (until UConn, Cincy, etc. leave). The same issues exist for Boise St. today that existed yesterday - a deteriorating Big East with an unknown TV contract, no home for their non-football sports, etc. I don't think even Boise St. is stupid enough to make this decision based on getting just one-year of AQ status in the Big East. They had better be confident that the Big East TV contract(s) are going to be as lucrative as they once thought they would be.

I feel ya, but that $ was the whole reason they looked to leave in the first place. I hope for the sake of the MWC that they stay. If they leave, we become MAC West.
