Can't wait for his lying apology. Lets see if he blames a Lobo fan who threw it his vehicle.

According to Aztec Mesa he didn't inhale.

Oh great...IF he sits for the Midway game they'll have an excuse for getting trounced.
Give him a break. He was probably just taking his mind off the realization of playing in the Big West.

I freaking LOVE the comments at the bottom of the article, those fans are amazing!

Not that it matters but my doctor told me marijuana is less toxic than cigarettes or chewing tobacco. Obviously I refrain from it since my work does urine tests but all else being equal smoking a reefer once in awhile is preferable than those who smoke a pack of cigarettes or chew.

If the glove does not fit....you must acquit!

Actually, it's just the opposite. Smoking pot is associated with higher levels of carbon monoxide and data indicate it is ounce for ounce smoked more highly associated with lung damage and emphysema. The biggest problem with pot purchased off the street and not medical marijuana is all the herbacides, pestacides , etc. that the varous illeagal growers use to increase production, all of which can be quite toxic. Not to mention all the people that are killed and tortured by the various drug cartels to bring their product to the maketplace.
On the other hand, you don't hear about stoners beating the **** out of their wives and girlfriends. You can't say the same about alcohol abusers.

Glad now that we didn't get him.
This is why UNLV passed on him.![]()
Oh noes. Did he stop at a Jack in the Box too? He should be beheaded immediately.

Don't won't to go too off topic but I think if the government were willing to sanction/regulate create a SIN TAX and include marijuana, tobacco, Liquor, Prostitiution, Strip Clubs, Gambling/Casinos, and Soda/sugary(for those paranoid about obesity).....it would raise a lot of tax money and solve a lot of problems related to our National Debt and the competition among cartels that are killing folks down by the border.

Isn't everyone in California a pot head?
If that would happened here, the media would be all over the Lobo program, all players would be tested, FBI would be bugging Alford's phone and monitoring the Lair. It is a good thing we didn't get the guy.

YES, absolutly.
Maybe I'm cut from a different cloth but I find drunk driving a 1000x worse than a bag of dope. You can buy Pot almost as easy as you can buy beer in Cali. I'm in no way saying what happened is ok because it's not. I just don't see it as that big of a deal on the grand scheme of life I guess.

Eh. I don't necessarily agree with that. Either you have an addictive personality or you don't. It's genetic if you ask me.
I've had a perfectly good friends ruin their lives and never try pot other than once or twice.
I drink alcohol and don't use any drug and I can honestly say alcohol is 1000x worse than weed.
Again, I'm not saying its ok because it's not. But you don't here or people getting stoned and killing a family. Just my own 2 cents. I've been working since 12:30 last night so I reserve the right to change the way I feel when I get some sleep.

LOLSo he fits in perfect at STDSU

I'm with Mark on this one. Alcohol is more damaging in almost every measurable way. Only a matter of time before it's legalized IMO. As far as it being a gateway drug, I don't buy it. Why would weed be any more of gateway drug than a bottle of whiskey?
I don't smoke pot, wouldn't allow my kids to do it. But to say weed is anywhere near as detrimental to human life or society as alcohol consumption just isn't looking at the mountains of data that exists.
We all know and agree that marijuana is far less detrimental to ones health then a lot of other drugs, but the big deal here that it is illegal right know and it is against all collegiate athletic rules. From an athlete standpoint, it is kind of sad that basketball players especially young ones like Winston would engage in activities that could potentially limit their full potential. When you are training especially like how the new basketball trainer Diego trains our bos, smoking anything will effect athletic performance.
Sorry but this is not accurate. There is no conclusive evidence that says marijuana has the same extent of deleterious effects as cigarettes. It is true that marijuana does contain similar toxins as cigarettes. However, there are actually some studies that show that THC has a protective effect against non small cell lung cancer. They have studied HEAVY marijuana users, by heavy I mean smoking the equivalent of 10 joints a day for 20 years and have found no statistically significant increase in lung cancer.
Therefore, those who partake occasionally in smoking some weed are likely at a much lower risk of developing health problems than those that smoke cigarettes. I would bet money on it.
