They refer to him as a "Chicago native" in the story. Maybe his family moved to AZ in the past few years.
I wonder how that might affect our recruiting of him, a spring signee?Since his recruitment is just starting to heat up and he’ll likely add several more offers, Jones is willing to wait when it comes to making a decision. “I’ll probably commit after my high school season when basketball ends,” he added.
After the Shepard fiasco, I would not want to put all my eggs in a spring signee basket, unless you have 3 or 4 other players ready to sign if he didn't.
Sounds like UNM has got a chance with him.“I definitely want to visit Washington State, Colorado and New Mexico,”.
Wish this guy could reclass to 2012 and sign with us today![]()
Missouri? Pfft.
Kid doesn't know loud until he does a pit game. I sure as hell wouldn't want to go up against it.
"Loudest building I've been in this year, Dan."
I bet you Colorado beats us out for him ... If it came down to the two !
Anytime Rick ...
Yes "US" I'm a lobo fan before a buffs fan. Just sayin CU has the momentum right now with there recruiting and winnin an NCAA game. Nit to mention they do play in the Pac 12, I know all of ya'll are haters of the Pac 12 but it carries its own name and gets plentyof recognition.
Both teams won a tournament game last year. CU then got blown out by Baylor, while UNM lost by 3 points to Louisville, a Final Four team. Also, UNM was a 5 seed and CU was an 11 seed.
CU might get a little bump from the fact they are considered to be a "rising" program and the fact they play in the Pac 12, but UNM is also considered to be a rising program and, last I checked, CU only made the tournament because they got hot and won their conference tournament -- during a year where the Pac 12 was way below the MWC (the 10th rated conference vs the 5th rated conference). Meanwhile, UNM won the regular season and tournament in a better conference... Oh, and they play in a much better arena.
It could happen I guess, but it would surprise me...
I've been following this kid for a while. Perfect size for a power forward. He seems to be getting a little more athletic. I have heard from multiple scouts that his hands are awful. I also heard he struggled really bad in vegas this weekend. He was on a stacked team issac hamilton, malcom lee, roeshon prince, and jordan matthews
