Tons of Lobos on those Bear teams. Rocky did a great job with those talented teams in bringing them to UNM.

What about the highland teams of 96 & 97 which included probably the best one two rushers in Bobby Newcombe and Jarrod Baxter

I think that La Cueva team gave up something like one touchdown through a 12 game stretch or something ridiculous like that.

holy cow..... La Cueva... whatever... Artesia is easily the football pride and joy of this state. they set the Bar... And i've told people for years, you wanna watch some serious NM highschool football? Go to artesia on a friday night.

This entire list is totally and completely invalidated by the fact that the 2007 Artesia team didn't even make the list. Landry Jones senior season! Completely destroyed Goddard in the state championship game. LJ only tossed 5 TD passes in that game to multiple receivers!

The funny part is that the 2007 Artesia team was on a par with, if not better than, the 2006 Artesia team that squeaked by Goddard by just 7 points in the championship game the previous year. And that 2006 Artesia team (Landry's Jr season) is #10 on the list!!! Holy Cow!

I could understand 2007 Artesia being ranked 10-20 or even 20-30, but to not even be in the top 100 at all??? Somebody didn't do their homework!
