My Guess as how the media will rank the teams. Where would you rank them?
1) SdSt
2) FS
3) Wyo
4) Colo St
5) BS
6) UNLV
7) UNM
8) Nev Reno
9) AF
Is that your list of BB rankings? If so, Are you in for a surprise!!!!!
Now if that's you Football rankings...then you are in for a much bigger surprise!!!!!
NMSUTOO...My apoligies...I was on the wrong post entry. Sorry!
Way too early for me to even guess. The biggest thing I want to see is how Sara is. If she has recovered and can be healthy for the season I think we have a chance to be pretty interesting with Caroline & Sara on the wings. The second big question will be the freshman PG.
SDSU and Fresno should be good, but after that I don't know enough to say yet.
This is how I think the media will rank them. I actually think Wyo might take the #1 spot if their 6'6" center is any good. She sat out last year. All of Wyo starters are returning. I think the lobos will be as high as third if the injuries heal. FS got a new coach so no telling where they will be.
I almost always have an opinion on these things, but this time I just have no clue. New teams coming in, and even how we are going to look???????
Go Lobos! Go Erskine & Shump! Go Lucas! Go Cam!
if lobos are healthy...unm and san diego st fight it out for 1st...we will be a lot more talented, healthy and deep than last season...
'...the Pit is just God awful uncomfortable for a visiting team.'
...he yells, "No one comes to the hoop now, Melvin. No one!", Harv Schmidt to Mel Daniels
“They’re loud and they get on you. They know everything about you. They know your mom’s name.”, jimmer fredette.
...Bobby Knight was screaming at his starters for being late. "We're getting our #!&$@$ kicked! Because you were late!".
My rankings are the same as usual.......
1. UNM Lobos
2,3,4, etc the rest of them.
That's a pretty good guess as to how the media will rank them, especially 1, 2, and 3. The next four teams all have some holes to fill, so a lot will depend on how new players develop. Personally, if we are healthy I'd slip UNM up to 5th behind CSU. However, we have very little D1 experience on paper other than Caroline, Jourdan, and Sara. (And Sara hasn't played in 2.5 years.)
It's a safe bet that Nevada and AFA will be picked last. AFA had a lot of injuries last year, so if James and Leipprandt are healthy I'd put them ahead of Nevada. (Nevada finished in the cellar of the WAC and lost their top two players.)
There's still three months for rosters to change, so I'm going to hold off on a more detailed prognostication.
