Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't know they were doing that (and I don't like it). I usually fly out on Wednesday afternoon/evening, but I guess I'll have to fly out early Wednesday in case we have one of the earlier games.

You gotta remember that we are still considered a mid major conference, pushing back to sunday could seriously affect our fringe 4th bid in their seeding.

Didnt know that. I figured they'd do the play in game on Tuesday the 12 since men start the following day.

Wait a minute. Are the quarter finals really Wednesday? I booked my flight for Thursday morning thinking it was the same as always.

I can't imagine them having the men skip a day. It is usually the women that play their quarter finals on Wednesday and then the men thursday and then semis on Friday for both. I bet it is the same.

The only reason I can think of for having men quarterfinals on Wednesday and Womens quarterfinals on Thursday is to beef up the attendance for the women and thus increase the attendance for the entire tournament by making people come a day earlier. I am pissed if they have decided to do this. All about the mighty dollar. Actually a smart move by the conference if they do this.

I just confirmed with Mark Koson that in fact, the mens games start Wednesday. I AM PISSED.

In my opinion, it is absolutely a money play to get people there earlier and have a lot of people at the womens game.

Bad, bad decision....I bet now it will backfire. I bet the Wednesday mens games will have poor attendance as well as the Thursday womens games. This will have the opposite effect on the tournament that they were wanting and will actually hurt the tournament.

Now I will probably spend less time in Vegas and go Friday morning instead. Unbelievable.....

I agree, me too, I cant swing that many day off. See you Friday morning. At least on Thursday I could leave Thursday afternoon.
