Finally, I've finished editing the video! Go Lobos!
Here's a link to her final stats
Jordyn Peacock, a 6'3" senior F/P, averaged 11.4 points, 12 rebounds, 4.4 blocks, and 2.1 assists, and 2 steals per game for the Southridge Skyhawks in the OSAA 6A Metro League. Her team tied for 1st place in the league, a tie that was only secured after Southridge beat their biggest rival Jesuit in the last game of the Metro League season, and the first ever 4-way tie in Metro League history. Jordyn's Southridge team then got seeded based on a new OSAA "Power Ranking" system that left them in 4th place, needing a Play-in game just to secure a playoff spot. Southridge won the play-in handily and moved all the way through to the State Quarterfinals at the home of the Portland Trailblazers, the Rose Garden in Portland, OR, where they were knocked off by another crosstown rival, Westview 39-37 to end their season.

Thanks Funky...I know with Jordan on campus you can't tell us all we would like to know..( the ladies are allowed SOME privacy).
But on a personal note, thanks for keeping us updated through her senior season. We seldom get so much info from someone inside, and it was really cool to have you share here on the lair with us.
Thank you sincerely for this post redrum, this is precisely the intended response. I have to admit, TLL did play a part in convincing me that New Mexico has the most loyal fans in all of college sports. It's one thing to go to The Pit for the howl and read great attendance stats (inflated or not) on all the marketing materials, but it's another to truly witness fans participating in discussion about their team(s) and doing research to find out all they can. This kind of fan base really is special, especially in women's sports - and I think the girls deserve it just as much as any college athlete.
They (female student-athletes) definitely deserve it, funkyjtothep!!!
GO LOBOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited by this team, I'm gonna re-up my season tickets.
Can't wait for the HOWL. :^)
Hey All, I realized after reading my post that I should have recognized Amy for giving us a lot of insight over the past few years as well. I'm sure other family members are here as well, I just don't know who they all are. But for every one of you, there are a hundred like me who want our Lady Lobo fix. We feel that much more involved with the team 'cuz we know the moms and dads and brothers etc. So thanks to any and all of you!!!
funky...updated roster now shows jordyn at 6-2...what's her real height....and, do you see her more as a 4 or a 5...
'...the Pit is just God awful uncomfortable for a visiting team.'
...he yells, "No one comes to the hoop now, Melvin. No one!", Harv Schmidt to Mel Daniels
“They’re loud and they get on you. They know everything about you. They know your mom’s name.”, jimmer fredette.
...Bobby Knight was screaming at his starters for being late. "We're getting our #!&$@$ kicked! Because you were late!".

Oh cool! I'm happy you're all as excited for the season as we are here in Oregon. Who should I address my email to in protest for shutting down The Mtn? What cable company do I need to boycott?
I've personally measured Jordyn without shoes, at home, as 6'2 and 3/4" FWIW. I see her more as a 3/4 because of her speed and athleticism, but she proved to me last season that she has post up game too. I hear she's been working with the posts in individuals, so I think she'll be happy playing any position as long as she gets on the court!

[QUOTE=funkyjtothep;490910][SWF][/SWF]We all feel the pain of the Mtn going down. I am not sure how it all went down, but it happened fast when they were talking about a merger with that conference which shall not be named, then that all fell through, and the mtn was gone. :-(
Looking forward to seeing Jordyn play this year, and thanks for keeping us diehards updated!![]()
Go Lobos! Go Erskine & Shump! Go Lucas! Go Cam!
It will be interesting to see how the tactics unfold. Previously there wasn't a lot of difference between the 4 and the 5 on offense so 4 or 5 is almost a non issue. At least for this season I think she is more likely to get time as a 4 than a 3 because it might be a bit crowded on the wings, especially if Sara ia healthy and back to form. While we have a lot of players who are naturally 4s, there is not as much returning experience as there is with the 2/3 spots.
Defensively I don't think we really have the kind of physical 5 we had with Jordan Adams or Angela. Who plays the 4 vs wh plays the 5 on D will likely be who can match up better with the opponent's 4 and 5.
The toughest match-up in the post is SDSU's 6-6 Nahinu. She gave us trouble last year. But she's the only experienced tall post in the league. Nevada has a 6-7 post who hardly played last year. Fresno State has a 6-6 freshman from Australia and Wyoming has a 6-6 RS freshman from Africa. Other than that we aren't undersized.
Personally, I worry more about lack of height at guard. A 5-4 point guard or 5-6 wing can be as big a liability as a 6-2 post.
its easier for a point or a wing to compensate with quickness of which i understand bryce owens will have plenty...A 5-4 point guard or 5-6 wing can be as big a liability as a 6-2 post

Just as it isn't only hight at the guard spot, it isn't just height at the post. It's also strength--and I don't know where we stand with that. We don't have a solid. strong, and reasonably tall post that is proven yet. We may have, but that will have to be seen.
I also wonder how much we will see 5'4" & 5'6" on the floor at the same time. I would expect Sara (5'11") and Caroline (6'0") to be the 2 & 3 in some order much of the time.
