Ok here's my quick report from the shirts n skins game. Nate Garth and Will Brown were present. Isiah Rusher was not. Someone started the "Thank you, Will!" and "Thank you, Nate!" chants. Who interviewed Nate and Will and recorded it on their cell phone? Was that you, RPS?

1) Nweke looks awesome. He is so big and cut and was running the floor great. He needs minutes this year.
2) D. Gary looks awesome. He had this SWEET move where he faked a behind the back dribble against DP and then kind of crossed him over and then went into the lane for a nice tear drop layup. He also hooked JR up with a couple nice oop passes.
3) Jamal and Toppert (i think?) were on a 2 on 1 break against TD and Jamal should have passed it to Top for a layup but instead went in for a layup which TD blocked the S**T out of. Reminded me of Karch Kiraly. The crowd loved it.
4) Wills has a really nice 3pt shot. Huge arcing shots. I love it.
5) DP was guarding JR and they were jawing at each other a bit. Just two competitors competing.
6) Probably around 400-500 people there this weekend. Much bigger crowd than last weekend.
7) They signed autographs again afterwards.

Afterwards Will Brown and Nate Garth hung around and were shooting baskets. Brown has some serious range and is a really big kid. Wow. The future is looking great, guys. I'm stoked.

My oldest son and I attended the SnS and found it quite entertaining and am glad I had the opportunity to see them up close.

Kim is huge, one big muscle. Needs to get in better running shape, but that will definitely come in time. I had the chance to speak with him and he was a very nice polite guy. He wanted to make sure we would be going to the Lobo basketball games. He said it looked like he would be having to sit out a year as has been speculated.

I really like how Dairese isn't afraid to take it inside or shoot the three. Wills shot the ball really well.

The game was basically how you would see a game played at the park with most of the offense from the guards and little opportunity for the inside guys, though Daniel looked great.

I am guessing it was either Bloo or LoboMike who started the "Thank you Will" and "Thank you Nate" chants. I saw who, but since I haven't met any of the guys on here I could only guess. Both Nate and Will acknowledged the chant and seemed to like the attention. Both seemed like really nice guys and they even signed autographs for some who attended.

I did not see Rusher and do not believe he attended.

Thanks for the great update Crowley. Good to hear that Nweke continues to improve literally every week. 3 weeks ago he was looking soft out there, I was kinda' hoping he'd put his shirt back on. Last week he looked much different and was starting to look like an athlete. Sounds like he has continued to get even more cut this week. Great to hear that.

Also I knew about Brown's size and athleticism. What I didn't know is that he's got great range on his jumper - very encouraging. He could be interchangeable as a 3 or a 4 if he displays a strong outside shot. Nice to have that flexibility down the road.

Gary sounds like the same Gary we've seen the past 3 weeks - just a solid guy who plays like he's one of the seniors out there.

Nweke was wearing his shirt. I think Peagues might need more work than Nweke. JR tossed a lob pass up for Peagues but he wasn't able to come down with it. It was a little high but it looked like Peagues just doesn't have the legs yet. I'm not saying that Nweke could've gotten it either but Nweke is much more cut in the upper body than Peagues. Harris is nice and cut, too. He has a big hump which he should be able to use to clear out the lane and get some boards.

I've been to all three shirts and skins and i gotta say that dairese is far and away the most impressive of our new guys... Can't wait to see this guy out there.. he's really gonna be pushing darren and jamaal for playing time

I agree Clen. The guy's got a tremendous presence for only being a freshman. If you were to observe the players out there w/o the benefit of a program, you would think he was one of the senior leaders out there. He's got the mental and physical makeup of a much older player.

Granted these SnS don't mean anything when it comes to the season but I don't see Jamal getting any playing time. Put his(Alfords) recruit and a stud of a PG and the only mins he gets are mop up or if someone fouls out. Reese is a man out there! Love the kid!

Coach Walker said Nweke has lost 70 pounds in the past few months. He and Aaron Day said they were now going to work on toning him up. He looks much better than he did in the first S n' S. Will and Nate are super excited to come here.

The dude is a beast. He is already huge and toned. It is going to be nice to see him grow as a player over the next couple years.

Kem has made the most improvement in my eyes just for the simple fact how much weight the dudes lost! Someone had told me he once weighed around 350! You just cant tell how big he is till you stand next to him.
