"I was trying to be aggressive," Snell said. "I heard the crowd so I just shot the ball."
He is going to Washington.
By Weir coming here, we took away not only their coach but a four star that could have competed against us. I call that a win-win!
I don't like to see a good player leave either NM team
808LOBO, abqpianist, bmccrack, bruiser, Bullchuter, cherryVibes, Clubmaker, COLOLOBO, dallaslobo, datildame, DCLobo, EDA, EZLoboCat, growe785, hobo, hunterig, jammin, JulieG, Just Ava, LMULOBO, Lobo2002, Lobo2x53, LoboAuto, Loboloko, lobowoof, ManiacalWolf, maxpower3, muyguapo, OldLobo, Oregon Lobo, pasadena lobo, pitwolf83, primordial, Professor, RedSox87122, ricmoti1, Scott, T-Lobo, trufan, Tugev1, txlobo95
could he be headed to unm
I hope so. Would be a nice addition. Go coach Weir.
WE ARE NEW MEXICO !
Hmm, so it seems like there's a pretty strong consensus that Lobo fans are thrilled with the previous Aggie coach (oh, not to mention his former assistant at NMSU) and now are hoping that Aggie players will come to UNM as well.
So, I'm guessing you guys actually like the Aggies (enough to wish your team was like them), you just hate Aggie fans. Am I reading that correctly?

That is correct!!!
most recruits who commit to a school follow the coach if he goes to another school
There may be a couple other transfers, a block is in place for anyone on our schedule over the next two years be it UNM or Kentucky. Typical for any NCAA team to put that in as a stipulation for any transfer.
Why did he redshirt and am I reading that he averaged around 3 pts a game this year?
Not trying to be Buzz Killington, but NMSU would likely block his transfer here.
This is another BS area that punishes kids. Nmsu couldn't block Weir from 'transferring' if you will to UNM or another school on their schedule the next two years, so why should a player be restricted?
Yeah NMSU needs to worry about the WAC, not two out of conference games in Nov/Dec.
Regarding this particular player (I agree in so far as the unfairness of the "release" rules), why is it that we are hoping he can come here? He redshirted already and last year he averaged under 4 pts/ game with comparable kind of numbers for assists and rebounds. So wherever he goes (if D1) he has to sit another yr bu loses it so he would be a Jr. With one year experience with fairly minimal numbers. I must be missing something or mis-read - can anybody set me straight?

It looks to me like Weir is looking for a Point and Power Forward and he is neither. As Doublealum says it wouldn't make much sense for him to come here.
he COULD (however unlikely) go to JC then re-open recruitment so that he doesnt have to sit and NOT play.
