Interesting stuff after 9 weeks or so.

We sit at 73 out of 120 teams. Not so good, but a couple of wins here could really help out.
What about teams of interest to us?
12. Utah
15. TCU
16. Boise State
19. BYU
20. Arizona
22. Tulsa
53. Air Force
73. UNM
96. Texas A&M
98. UNLV
100. CSU
104. NMSU
115. Wyo
117. SDSU
We beat one team above us (Arizona), and lost to one below us (Texas A&M). Those t/o's really killed us in that one. I think we need to take out AF, UNLV and CSU. This is a big game Thursday!
Go Lobos!
I agree, it is a big game. Bigger than it's being made out to be.
I totally agree with you Philly. If Tulsa had played some tougher teams, I think they would be rated much higher. They are the best offense we have seen this year, and perhaps the best team. They scored 77 on utep. They even went for a 4th and 6 for a td, after having 70 points.
I also think if tcu wins out, they should get a shot at a bcs game. I don't think it will happen, but they would deserve it.
I continue to be impressed with our strength of schedule. Of our 8 games, 4 of them have been against teams in the top 25 of the power rankings. I know we haven't looked good at times on offense, but to be 4-4 after this kind of schedule is not so bad in my thinking. If a bowl game is in mind, we may have to sweep csu/unlv and spilt the utah/af games. I would like to get the victory at af, as I think utah after a bye week is going to be tough, even at home.
Go Lobos! Eat some bird tonight!

Our win over Zona should be helping us out a lot, but the Aggies, (both of them actually) are not helping and don't even mention WYO and SDSU.
