Can AF and Nevada pull off "upsets" at home. Would make things a little more interesting if Lobos win tonight.

With CSU on a bye, I'll have my eyes pointing north toward Laramie and south toward Colorado Springs. Rams need lots of help down the stretch since they have no more games against either UNLV or Wyoming. I'm especially interested in the UNLV-AFA game to see how the Lady Rebels perform without Katie Powell; AFA struggles defending bigs so Powell's injury could play a huge role in the outcome.

How dominant is Jaisa? Has a 1 on 3, gets her own offensive rebound and sticks it back in.

Yes, coach B, size does matter and can be dominate.

women off to a great start. Pounding USU on the glass 24-17. That's what can happen if we can win the rebounding battle. UP 33-19.

Also, held USU to only 29% shooting. That's some really good defense or just poor shooting, lol.

Nice first half by the lobos. Going eight deep but giving everyone a break. We missed several opportunities to throw it to a wide open Jaisa, but one of those turned into a 3-pointer instead.

(Wait. Did Jasmine play? Don't remember seeing her. That would only be seven deep.)

love it, both Jaisa and AA in the game at the same time. AA was able to sprint down court to get the Cherise miss and get fouled on the put-back attempt. I think this is a good line-up to have both in at once. They got a block on the defensive end earlier as well.

Be interesting to see what attendance is announced, not too many people there from the shot they showed. Two bad possessions to let lead get back to 15

Not sure it will matter win/loss wise, but definitely something for the coaches to work on, in case were in the same situation in a much closer game.

Nice, has both Jaisa and AA in at the same time again. I really like this line-up.

Reason I like it, as it takes Jaisa a bit more time to get up court, AA can fly up court, so it gives us an transition defensive presence in the paint as well as offensively in transition.

BTW, really nice game defensively. Held them to under 31% shooting, except for the final 3 minutes when deep subs got in the game. Their shooting % crept up to 35.5%, but really was under 31% for the rest of the game. Great job tonight.

If we can start doing that defensive effort consistently, we can close the season really strong and heading into the MWCT.

This win also now makes us 20-7. When is the last time we had a 20 win season??? Seems like forever.

You mean for a 20 win season? Was that the 4A led team (AmandaX2, Angela and Amy B) that won 3 games in the WNIT before losing to Kansas?

Now wonder it has felt like forever, lol, wow. Now, it's time to keep on winning!!!!

Nevad scores over 20 in the 3rd, down by tw then only scores 4 in the 4th. Had a chance to give Lobos some help.

And looks like FSU is going to have a come from behind win over SJSU. Sounded like SJSU held a small lead thru a lot of the game, FSU up 7 late. So two teams with a chance to help Lobos falter late.

SJSU 47 1st half, 24 2nd. Losses to SJSU and SDU kinda haunting UNM right now.

Top half of the league beat the bottom half tonight. The only one that surprised me was Nevada losing to Boise State at home. They are in a tailspin at 4-9. That virtually clinches us finishing no worse than 6th.

I also thought there was a chance Air Force could beat UNLV since Powell didn't play, but UNLV is a very tall team even without her. And Brooke Johnson controlled the game down the stretch.

If you would have told me that our big three would score less than 30 points tonight I would have expected another road loss. Instead we won quite handily because of Laneah and the best collective performance of our freshmen all year.

I liked the rotations we used with Antonia subbing at both the 4 and 5. With our next three games being against three of the tallest teams, we're really going to need a lot from her.

Yes, especially when her and Jaisa played together. Although, she has been backing up Jaisa all year, she is too talented to leave on the bench to only come in at the 5. Need to get her more court time. She blocks shots and helps our rebounding, not to mention, can put up interior points in a hurry.
