If CSU gets in at #116, it lends credence to the theory floated here recently that Coach Chez must have turned down an invite in 2015 when they were #99.

Congrats to all 4 MWC teams! That's some pretty solid representation.

Hope they don't have the four of us knock each other off in the early rounds.

That would probably have to happen in the semi-finals of the western region if it's like most years. But sending one to the final four would be nice. Utah, TCU, South Dakota, and Kansas State are probably the biggest challenges in the west. (I noticed BYU didn't get in. Maybe CSU's win over them was the difference.)

Navy and Lamar, two OOC games, are in WNIT field. Marist and St. Joes two teams who have played in Thanksgiving tourney in recent years. Valerie King an alum of Cincinnati. Houston was on schedule for a few years. Rice and TCU two old Wac teams when it was a 16 team conference. South Dakota, where Hannah transferred to.

I would love to see a rematch with Navy...

St. Mary's will be a tough out. They finished 2nd in the WCC. They won at Boise St.

True. Their RPI is in the 80''s. But Texas State and Rice are both weaker.

Could have been much worse draw. UNLV has to go to Utah and then probably Kansas State. Considering they were co-champs, they got the hardest draw of the four MWC teams.

I talked with Frank M. this evening--they are working with the Univ to come up with a reasonable parking option. Maybe open up most the parking lots on campus, or have shuttle busses from the Univ/Lomas lots, or ??? He hopes to know tomorrow, and will pass that info along as soon as the Univ lets him know.

I bow to you. So glad you were correct, while I was hesitant.

A deep run in the WNIT, will erase many expectations that fell short this year.

The last time I was at Johnson Gym to watch the ladies, I was with my daughter. I will gladly attend this tournament in her memory.

ok, lay off the hatorade...I posted this before the brackets came out. Clearly, only 2 teams tops could make it.

Dude, if you believe like I do, you know she's there too. A bad day, a bad moment doesn't define a life. A good memory is worth almost any pain. Time may dull wounds, but not memories. I'll say a prayer for you both.

Do they have seeding listed anywhere? Is seeding the same as in an NCAA bracket?

Wasn’t referring to any brackets. I simply took the only post by you in this thread to give you qudos for being right the other day about the Lobos making the WNIT. I wasn’t sure we would be invited. You were right, I was wrong.

That said - the 2014-2015 was still an overall better team, IMO. lol

Since it's spring break, if they would simply let us park in the lots north of Central Avenue, that would solve the problem.

Do you have any info to report for those of us needing Handicap Parking "close" to Johnson Gym.

There are probably 30-50 or so handicap spaces in the parking garage and little parking spaces on the north and south sides of Johnson. I don't know if that's enough for the game, but I do know they are there...

This is not official, but the parking garage just south of the gym is free for people with handicap placards. (At least it was several years ago when I took someone to Popejoy.)

Personally, I hate parking in garages for events where everyone wants to leave at the same time, but that's another story.

It's not far from the ramp adjacent to Johnson and Popejoy. With your handicapped placard, you park anywhere in the structure. Probably as close as any spot next to the pit... there is an elevator that will deposit you at ground level, but that lot could fill fast

Hmmmmm... I bet most fans are happy for at least one more game... and will enjoy watching them play... even if there is no guarantee they will win.

So look on the bright side Darkside... I think there's a solid chance they will win. But they definitely need to play the game in order to win it. :-)
