Oh so we do get to see Rodney Terry again. He just loves the PIT fans doesn't he?

Yeah, the series is continuing though. At least two more years.

I just want a tough schedule. A good RPI and SOS is worth a couple of losses.

Well if we don’t have an exempt tourney planned, I hope coach can get us some good road games against sum legit teams!! Even if they don’t give us return to the pit, I am ok with going on the road for a good power 5 team or 2 of them. Can only help our rpi in the long run for the season and with our team I think we can definitely get sum wins! As we have scene this year the committee is looking at ur pre conference schedule. I think we will have the type of team next year that can go on the road against some tough opponents and get sum wins!!

We still may end up in one, there just isn't one set yet.

Getting the Zags in the conference would help our strength of schedule much more than anything else.

I do expect we'll add a couple of tough games still. Maybe an exempt tourney also.

Let’s go play UNC, Duke, Ohio State, UCONN, Kansas, UCLA, Kentucky, on the road with no return game. Pick one or two. Win or lose SOS and RPI will benefit, and odds of an at large increase dramatically

Out of that group I would like to see us play UNC, Duke, and Kentucky first because we have played everyone else (was Ohio St. in the late 80's in one of the Lobo tournaments?) Imagine an OOC schedule with the above 3 and 2-3 more games against middle of the pack P5 or solid mid-major teams...I'm not sure if Weir would ever get that aggressive in making schedules but that OOC would rank in the top 3-5 toughest schedules in the nation.

I do wonder if they would set-up the schedule? Would we have 2 separate divisions or simply have a schedule like this year, where you play some teams home/home and others only 1 game that particular year?

Other MWC teams must also play better schedules. Eventually we will win our share of these games. If we want to surpass the AAC and creep up on the P-5 conferences all teams must do this. Otherwise we are doomed to be a #10-20 mid-tier league.

If we ever do the one-game payout, it should be Kentucky (23K) or UNC (21K). Bigger crowd, bigger payout.

If we get the Zags and the Zags only that puts the BB conference at 12 teams. To me I would prefer to play all 11 teams twice (home and away). And play them in pairs. For instance, Boise Thursday night, Gonzaga Saturday, or Wyo Thursday, CSU Saturday, ,,,, And maybe once in while throw in a Friday or Sunday game.

Here's my pairs if the ZAGS join:

    UNM - AFA
    CSU - WYO
    Boise - Zags
    SJST - Fresno
    Nev - UTags
    UNLV - SDSU

22 conference games seems a bit much.

One of two teams we should get next year is either LSU or Florida. Nunez has ties to both and FLA is a perennial NCAA team and LSU will be stacked with the #3 recruiting class in the nation and a tourney team next year.

I doubt they go with the 22 game conference schedule. More likely, they do the schedule just like the Pac 12 where you play your travel partner twice every year regardless and there is one pair of travel partners you only play on the road and one pair you only play at home during a given season. Then playing the remaining six teams all home and home. For an 18 game overall conference schedule.
