    Cherise in the WNBA?

    First Post Banner
Does anyone think its possible she could get drafted tomorrow in the WNBA draft? Or is she overseas talent? I believe she has the tools and work ethic that makes her one a top 30 player.

I think she could be a WNBA drafted. The numbers are very impressive. Her physical stature is not what you see a lot there. I hope she does and it becomes an option for her if she wants it.

For a number of players I have talked to, they really want to play overseas, in large part for the experience of seeing the world.

She's the first Lobo in New Mexico history to reach 1,500 pts, 500 rebs, and 500 assists in a collegiate career. With 1 day left until the #WNBADraft, let's take a look at @WNBA draft prospect, Cherise Beynon. http://aceslv.co/53toJU

Also the pay is better for the women overseas than it is here.

“I’ve fielded calls from four or five teams about Cherise,” Bradbury said. “She’s been working out and staying sharp since the season ended. We’re all pulling for her. I hope she gets a shot.”

good news only 51 total prospects listed on there and 36 spots available.

Anyone know if the WNBA teams sign "undrafted" prospects to contracts like they do in the NBA?

Some are invited as walk on try outs, Moriah Mack from NMSU last year was one.

5pm ESPN2 WNBA draft show for those interested. I think you have to shift over to ESPNU for the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Might need to get a good agent if she doesn't have one. A good one will have connections to get her on a team somewhere.

She still may have a shot at the WNBA like Moriah Mack had last year. Bradbury said he received 4 or 5 phone calls inquiring about Cherise.

Maybe on offense, but you also need to ability to guard, without getting in foul trouble. And that part of her game was lacking here.

Don't know if I agree with that. I thought she was the best defender on the team. Usually had to defend the opponent's best player.

Maybe she could synch up with Antiesha since Antiesha plays overseas.
