It will be a "W" as the season moves on. It may be the win we need to get into a bowl.

I don't think tune up games help. To me, players need to want to beat someone big. I rather see us play a superior team and show up to be competitive. I know we could lose by 40 or so. But winning by 40 in a tune up game doesn't prepare us or tell us what we are missing.

I have no idea if a tuneup game is helpful or not as I've never coached football at any level. I'd like to think the professional coaching staff UNM has hired is up to the task of determining whats best for our players, the program andcthe school.

    You don’t know football. Sorry.

High school gets to play scrimmages. NFL gets 4 preseason games. College, first games count so most programs scheduled these types of games.

I'll be at the game. Gotta pay out, payout cheap or huge...no middle ground. I'll still be at the game.

NFL has a pre-season to determine who makes the roster. It is typically a tryout for rookies / newcomers, and no one really cares who wins. Besides the NFL competition is no where near a Incarnate Word. And I believe the high school scrimmage is also between equal teams to accomplish what did we learn.

Under Davie, we have had 4 tune up games to start the season. Playing Incarnate Word, Southern, Miss. Valley, South Dakota, Abilene Christian are not tune up games. They misrepresent what we are actually missing, and learn nothing. The week after these tune up games, we are 0-4.
