    Lady Lobo Summer Shindig-June 29th

    First Post Banner
    All,

For our annual get together, I was given a firm date by he who must not be named of June 29th.

I would like to purpose A Taste of India for our location this year. It is one of my favorite places. We will take up about half their restaurant, and they will accommodate us. We can order off of the full menu.

    Their website: http://tasteofindiaabq.com/

    Menu: http://tasteofindiaabq.com/?page_id=69

Please let us know your interest or disinterest as the case may be.

    :-)
Go Lobos! Go Nunn! Go Sam! Go Joe!

I cannot commit at this time, however, the location for the gathering appeals to me.

    Dawg, thanks for doing this.

For everyone who might be interested: Please reply whether the location is good for you. We had the last one closer to the West side and are trying to move it around.

We DO expect to have some special guests this year, and this is the date that fit their schedule.

RSPVs will be later to get a head count. NOT limited to LoboLair members, NOT limited to WBB ticket holders--though it IS a WBB oriented event.

    Thanks.

OK, I would like to go in on Tuesday this coming week and finalize with the owner. I would like to get an idea of how many. I'm somewhat surprised at such a small response. I would hope many of you could come and enjoy the company, food and friends that will be there. This is our 5th year of doing this I think, and it has always been a fun event. If there is a concern over the food, I understand, and please let me know. I am not a big fan of Indian food myself, but I love this place. LOL

I hope many of you can make it. I will be disappointed if some of you don't! :-) and not limited to the women's board. Hopefully we get some good guests as well.

    Dawg,

I suspect it is a little early for some. last year the headcount doubled in the last two weeks or so.

Also; I assume they can have some vegan options? Indian restaureants are usually good for that.

While Indian food is amazing, it can be very expensive when purchasing off the menu. This can be a detriment to those that are not very experienced with the cuisine. The better choice for Indian should be based upon the variety on the menu, pricing, and size of dining area. The overall best option in Albuquerque would be Taj Palace. Taj has a separate area for groups that would allow us to be away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the restaurant. Taj is also the only Indian restaurant that offers a dinner buffet on Fridays and Saturdays. This would allow a large variety of options for our group plus not have to pay a large amount for food that some may not enjoy. I believe the dinner buffet cost may be around $20.00 per person.

Showed the menu to the wife and she couldn't find anything she thought her system could handle. So I will probably make it solo. Put me down for one.
