underscores this year, our "strength" may actually be in the interior with two players having 1,500+ minutes so far in their careers. Lets see if Madi can take that next step forward to become a FT starter and "consistent" performer. Which frosh will step up and be ready to contribute right away? Will need several to do so. Will McGruder be ready immediately, adding to the depth inside? Going a legit two deep in each post position will allow us to play uptempo for most of the game if that's what coach wants to do and turn up the screws defensively.

The talent is obvious, but so is the scarcity of playing time together. Providence or whomever couldn't have picked a team more in need of becoming a member of the preseason WNIT

Bride - Iowa St. transfer - played in 21 games before an injury and started 10.

I was surprised last year how quick the team came together considering all the new players and those recovering from injuries. Beating Marquette the 2nd game into the season was not an easy task. Cherise and Tesha's leadership probably had a lot to do with it. And Jaisa's recovery. If they can do the same this year with Roberson, Nunn and Nike, should be an exciting year. Throw in Washington, AJ and a couple of the Freshman and De la Certa and Emily getting hot on the threes....5 months to get it together. Go Lobos!

There may well be some talent on this squad, but I wouldn't use the word "obvious" for anyone but Jaisa. The other twelve have a lot to prove.

But it makes for an interesting fan experience wondering what's behind door #1, #2, and #3. So many unknowns, but hoping for the Big Deal.

and despite her height and bball IQ which allowed her to dabble at post last year when we were desperate, I still think of Em as a shooting guard... With all of the bodies this year, I hope that is where she plays.

Even though her initials are AA, her nickname is AT. (Not sure what the T stands for.)

There's an article in tormorrow's Journal about Jaisa and all the 'strangers' she'll be playing with, but it's too early to call up and I'm bed bound.
