Things I like about Lauren....

#1 Her court vision on offence. Every time she gets playing time she seems to make at least one pass to a player I never thought she saw. Many of her passes remind me of Julie, but Lauren has a better sense of pace and rarely seems to turn them over.

Anyone who feels like it please add #2 and keep it going.

Lauren really reminds me of Julie. Quick, smart, good shooter. She is intense on defense. You can see she really wants to improve her game. I love our freshman class, and she is a big part of that!

I agree Dawg about Lauren reminding me of Julie, but I really feel she is ahead of Julie as a freshman. Plays more like a junior. Doesn't get down on herself when she makes a mistake. Keeps her head up and looks for the next opportunity to help the team in some way.

The long 3 pointer she made to end the half of a non-conference game. Can't recall the opponent. She has made some great passes to Sara.

I'm excited to talk about all the things I love about Lauren! I think I relate to her because she is a sensitive person with a strong will to succeed. She has a very big heart. If you ever need empathy, not sympathy, but true empathy, Lauren is your girl. She is a fierce competitor as you can tell by her game, but she is a gentle spirited person which I adore! She is the youngest persn on the team (she's even young for a freshman) and she is so intelligent, and she wants to succeed very much. She will have a fabulous career at UNM. She is tenacious and endearing all at the same time! For being such a youngster, she makes excellent choices off the court as well.

Would gym rat be a good description? She plays like someone who knows and loves the game and would lace-up any time against anyone. Great touch with a quick release, excellent passer with a good handle and tremendous court awareness that makes her an excellent passer. Her great defense will ensure an illustrious career at UNM. Already playing like a sophomore.
