Once again, defense proved to be an issue for the University of New Mexico men’s soccer team as the Lobos fell 2-1 during the Conference USA opener against Old Dominion.

Mistakes in second half lead to 2-1 loss for Lobos

Some nights players get to spend some time talking to fans at the end of a game. But after Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to UC Santa Barbara, head coach Jeremy Fishbein made it clear he wanted his team to head to the locker room as soon as possible.

Lobos hang with ranked opponents

When head coach Jeremy Fishbein says he is not afraid to be challenged, he means it. The University of New Mexico men’s soccer team has played four games this season, and all four of those opponents have been ranked at some point.

Lobos fall to No. 24 Washington

A tough Washington defense resulted in a 2-0 result against the University of New Mexico men’s soccer team on Monday night.

While the Lobos were able to upset the No. 22 Seattle Redhawks on Friday, the No.24 Huskies gave New Mexico less real chances to score. A total of 19 shots were recorded, nine belonging to the Lobos, but none of those were on target. Continue reading “Lobos fall to No. 24 Washington”

If this was the last first game for the University of New Mexico men’s soccer team, the Lobos certainly made the best of it.

Albuquerque gets professional soccer team
