The 2018 season keeps slipping for the University of New Mexico men’s soccer team.

UNM soccer is having its worst season at home

As Jeremy Fishbein was being asked a question about playing at home this season, he began to walk away.

Earlier in the week, the New Mexico head coach brought up how home field advantage was no longer a thing for Lobo soccer. On Saturday afternoon, the team picked up it’s fifth loss of the season at the UNM soccer field with a 4-2 result to Florida International. Since Fishbein became head coach at UNM in 2002, the program had not seen more than three losses at home in one season. New Mexico falls short to No. 10 Saint Mary’s by 20 seconds

Twenty seconds made all the difference on Wednesday night.

New Mexico was on its way to take the No. 10 team in the nation into overtime with a 0-0 scoreboard, but Saint Mary’s pulled off its 10th win of the season with a goal when the clock read 89:40. Lobos snap losing streak with first shutout of the season

The University of  New Mexico men’s soccer team picked up its first clean sheet of the season with a 2-0 victory over the Florida Atlantic Owls on Saturday. This win on the road broke a three-game losing streak.
