I’ve already purchased a table.  This is always a great event.  It’s great seeing how much the community loves Birmingham.

Give me a break Reno.  Ray does a lot with the kids in this community.  He nearly erected the Lobo Stadium with donations raised by him.  A bad year here and there changes nothing.  That is the problem with Lobo Fan.  Not every year ends in a championship, but in Birmingham's case, 7 regular season or conference tourney championships, on top of 5 NCAA appearances in 11 years - I'll take that.  Additionally, Birmingham always schedules some of the best baseball opponents in the nation during non-conference play.

Prior to Birmingham - only 1 NCAA appearance, only 1 tourney championship, and only 4 regular season championships in the history of UNM baseball.  I understand many Lobo Fans are so spoiled and unrealistic - why, I don't get - just didn't figure you as one of those Reno.

BTW - Birmingham faces the same budget restraints as everyone else.  Always has.

Red, just saying that another year like last year and lets see how the Lobo community reacts....people have short memories......ray fired his coaching staff and as a result his starting short stop, so it's a reboot this year.  I am not advocating a fire Ray thing, far from it. But the way things are going, if he has another crummy year, how will albuquerque react since football and basketball are in the crapper?

I think I am asking a valid question.

Reno: unlike the football program - if Ray sees a coach is not cutting it, he will get cut.  Unlike football, which had two awful years and made no changes that weren’t spurred on by coaches leaving on their own, Ray will make changes to improve the program.

No one, no team, has had the success Ray has had - and, if people choose to have short term memory - oh well, Ray will remain UNM’s coach for next 3 seasons!!!

I met players on Friday, Jared is finally healthy and rearing to go.  I’ve talked to all new coaches.  I think we see a bounce back this year.

PS - had a good talk with Eddie Nunez as well - baseball is on solid ground!!
