If there was a spot, would love to see her come back. Hard to really tell for sure, but maybe her and Aarika about the best recruiting tandem Lobos have had?? Just a quick look at a little social media, sounds like her and Stollings had some disagreements about some things and Erin wanted to do more hands on coaching than allowed. Social media stuff, so may or may not be totally true. Sounds like she is not the only assistant leaving and maybe 4 or 5 players. They do have a ranked recruiting class going in next season.
Lots of indications that Erin was a large part of that incoming recruiting class.
And lots of strong words last year that Stollings was not well liked/hard to get along with at her last school--lots of people there were glad she left.
When I interviewed Erin when she was here, she clearly wanted to become a HC, a so wanting more hands-on is understandable. That is one of the things I like about our coaching staff--Mike talks and works at developing the assistants to be HCs if they want--he has several times made it clear he pushes assistants to get their hands dirty learning all the pieces.
Watching Erin work here twice, she was awesome. That is a big loss for TT. I feel bad for her.
She will wind up in a good spot, hope not in MWC, though, unless something happens and she comes back here. 2x, you saw her at practice and seem impressed. She probably had a lot to do with these last two recruiting classes here as well. Final Four coming up, see what kind of shaking goes on. Hmm, with some things that could open, maybe she gets a shot as HC at a mid major??
Ryan Hyatt with brief thoughts about the 23 minute mark or so.
That was very interesting. Many thanks for sharing that.
